The existing building on the plot was a dilapidated timber frame cedar clad house which we demolished and replaced with a brand new 5000 sq.ft house. The street pattern favours houses with low eaves and this house has its accommodation spread over 2 levels (unusually as most houses of this size have a third storey in the loft or basement). The river views are absolutely stunning and the residents of the estate have purchased the land on the opposite side of the banks in order to preserve these views.
